Richard Nigel Stembridge

Richard Nigel Stembridge was born in Ilford and raised in Epping before building a varied career in finance, business, and later HMRC, where he worked until his retirement in 2015. A lifelong reader of naval fiction, inspired by C.S. Forester’s Hornblower series, he developed a deep passion for maritime history and has visited historic ships around the world. He began writing, drawing on this enthusiasm and experience to bring authenticity and detail to his stories. His work reflects both a love of naval adventure and a keen interest in the lives of those who served at sea. He lives in the North East of England, where he enjoys travel and motorcycling.
